



To the big drum ("dhol") beat, the groom and his guests dance through town to the bride. Starting at the Stadthalle in Nieheim (Am Teich 5, 33039 Nieheim) and ending at the St. Nikolaus church.

In India, all guests perform small dances for the joy of the married couple. Everyone is invited to join!

The evening follows the classical European set up of good food, the first dance and a long party until the morning hours.

If you'd like to take part in the Sangeet, just let us know and we'll plan it in. Also, if you need help picking a song, then we have a bunch of options ready! No major pre-preparation required as this is a very informal dance type thing :)

If you'd like to wear Indian clothes, do let us know and we could either lend you some of our own or recommend shops you could purchase them from. And don't worry, there will be people at the wedding to help with wearing them - especially sarees.
